This place is so busy! Went in for dinner on a Sunday evening and there were maybe 30-35 people in there waiting for their orders. We got the 7 piece summer combo and a big Mary burger. Waited 40min for our order but it was worth it. Best fried chicken I've ever had! So juicy and not overly salted. The taters are delicious too, so crispy and the portion is generous for a medium. We also got the onion rings, also delicious. The only thing I'd suggest is to take your restaurant off of the skip the dishes system. The delivery drivers that keep coming in every 5 min are making the people who are ordering in person wait longer than they need to. Or hire more staff and have two people dedicated to skip drivers

The food here is consistently good and the ONLY place I really like the taters from. Some of you may remember the Green Gables that was on Victoria Rd in Dartmouth. They had the best taters I have ever had. I always thought about them and hoped I ran across similar taters. I have finally!
The chicken is amazing, juicy and not over salted.
I am very happy and it's very close by. -

Love the chicken and taters. At a little over $80 for the 18 piece feast with the specific request of white meat and breast meat I was disappointed when I opened the box to only two breasts a crap ton wing/drum pieces and a few ribs. The rib piece on a chicken is less meat than a wing. Why sell a rib and not just a breast with the actual meat. I paid for breast and white meat and ordered that after being told that it had to be ordered very specifically.

Having been disappointed with the quality of food at KFC lately, I decided to take a different course of action and try the chicken at Mary Brown's.
I decided to take the food home instead of eating it in, but their restaurant is of a decent size with several tables. The staff were friendly and patient as I mulled over my options and noticed that they actually had brownies for dessert.
Such pleasure would have to wait another day as I had an impending dentist appointment later in the week.
In the end, I went with a three-piece chicken and taters meal with some macaroni and cheese to top it off. I did not have to wait too long for the food and it was very affordable at just over $13.00.
What I noticed right away was the chicken was not overly greasy (the skin was not as tasty as KFC back in the day, but that is like comparing apples to oranges) and very filling. The taters were also quite good, but the macaroni and cheese was not as good as KFC's.
With other options on the menu, and, at respectable prices, I plan on returning to Mary Brown's in the near future. -
